1. Core Privacy Commitment: 100% On-Device & Zero Tracking

Caploc Pro is engineered around a strict local-first philosophy. We do not operate user accounts, cloud databases, or remote telemetry servers. Your photographs, recorded videos, GPS coordinates, and device sensors are processed entirely on your physical hardware. We never sell, lease, aggregate, or transmit your visual or geographic data to third parties.

2. Device Permissions & Data Usage

To deliver its core location-camera capabilities, Caploc Pro requests specific device permissions. Each permission is utilized strictly for its stated technical purpose:

• Camera Access (expo-camera): Used solely to display the live viewfinder and capture high-resolution photos and videos. Camera hardware is active only while the app is open on screen; background camera access is never performed.
• Microphone Access (expo-camera audio): Used solely to record audio when capturing video clips. You can toggle audio recording off entirely inside the in-app preferences.
• Precise Location (expo-location): Used while the camera or gallery is open to compute your latitude, longitude, and satellite accuracy margin (±m), and to fetch reverse-geocoded road or locality names. Location polling is halted immediately when the application is minimized or closed.
• Media Library & Storage (expo-media-library): Used to save your final stamped images and videos directly to your device photo gallery, and to display captures inside the in-app gallery tab.

3. Cartographic Map Tiles & Network Requests

When the "Show Map" preference is enabled, Caploc Pro downloads static map tiles directly from OpenStreetMap servers (tile.openstreetmap.org) via standard HTTPS requests corresponding to your current Web Mercator tile index. These requests are anonymous and do not transmit user profiles, device identifiers, or personal telemetry.

4. No Third-Party Analytics or Advertising SDKs

Caploc Pro contains zero advertising networks (e.g. Google AdMob, Unity Ads), zero behavioral trackers, and zero commercial analytics suites (e.g. Firebase, Mixpanel). We do not build advertising profiles or monitor how frequently you launch the application.

5. Data Retention & User Control

Because all captures remain on your physical device, you retain total ownership and control over your files:

• You can delete captures at any time directly through the app gallery or your native device Photos app.
• Uninstalling the app purges all internal application cache. Media files previously exported to your camera roll remain under your device operating system control.
• You can revoke location, camera, or microphone permissions at any time through your device system settings.

6. Children's Privacy

Caploc Pro does not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 where applicable by regional law). Because the app operates without cloud accounts or remote servers, no personal data from minors is ever harvested or processed.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect app updates or regulatory standards. Any modifications will be posted to this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Caploc Pro signifies your agreement to any revised terms.
