Privacy Policy - Secret Chat

1. Information We Collect & How We Use It

To provide our messaging service, we collect and process the following information:

• Phone Number: Collected during sign-up to verify your account identity via SMS and allow other users to find you.
• Google Account Information: When signing in via Google, we collect your email address, name, and profile picture to establish your user identity.
• Live Connection Status: We monitor your online/offline presence status in real-time to enable messaging with your contacts.

2. Device Permissions (Contacts Access)

Secret Chat requests permission to access your device's contacts list. This access is used strictly to look up and match phone numbers to identify which of your friends are also registered users of Secret Chat.

This matching is conducted securely on your device, and we do not permanently store or compile your phone book contacts list on our servers. You can opt out of this sync at any time via your device settings.

3. Ephemeral Chats & Automatic Message Deletion

To protect your privacy, Secret Chat runs on an ephemeral model:

• Conversations are active and visible only when both you and your contact are online simultaneously.
• When either user disconnects, logs out, or closes the application, the messaging history for that session is automatically and immediately deleted.
• No messages, files, or chat text logs are permanently archived or stored on any server.

4. Data Sharing & Security

We do not share, sell, or lease your personal information, phone numbers, or account details to third parties. We apply modern security protocols to verify registrations and secure live chat traffic.

5. User Rights & Account/Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of your account and any associated authentication data at any time. If you wish to delete your registration, profile details, and account records, please contact us at:
